Central Asia Tech Law proudly contributed to Pakistan’s first national panel on AI governance and ethics, held during the Opening Ceremony of AI Festival 2025, organized by the Society 5.0 Initiative.
Dr. Ammar Younas, founder of Central Asia Tech Law, joined the panel titled:
“AI Governance & Ethics – Developing Pakistan’s Framework.”
This landmark session explored how Pakistan can shape a contextualized AI governance model, rooted in its constitutional order, cultural realities, and ethical traditions—rather than relying solely on external policy models.
Dr. Younas emphasized that culturally pluralistic societies must design governance frameworks that are inclusive, future-ready, and reflective of indigenous norms. His contribution drew from the broader Central Asia Tech Law mission of aligning emerging technologies with diverse legal systems and epistemologies.
Panelists included:
-
Justice Dr. Syed Muhammad Anwer (Former Chief Justice, Federal Shariat Court)
-
Justice Mushir Alam (Retd)
-
Huma Chughtai, Azhar Zia-ur-Rehman, Usman Piracha, and others
